Trinity Realigns Executive Management, Adjusts 2020 Guidance

E. Jean Savage, chief executive officer and president at Trinity Industries commented, “This management realignment is the first step in implementing a new organizational design developed over the past few months which is aligned with the company’s commitment to optimizing the rail platform in order to drive our financial performance to new levels. Trinity is transitioning our business model from a holding company structure to an operating structure. This new structure will align our organization to be more effective and efficient and to better serve our customers.”
 

Factbox: Braskem Offers Credit Line for Customers Struggling With Coronavirus Fallout

The credit will be available for 60 days starting in April, Braskem said late Friday in a statement. The credit is directed to the purchase of plastic resins, caustic soda and specialty chemicals. Braskem said clients will be able to use the credit line to buy more volumes with greater flexibility in billing terms. Credit access will be limited to $120,000 per client.

European Rail Associations Call for Action From European Commission

The eight page letter was addressed to EC executive vice president, Ms Margrethe Vestager, commissioner for transport, Ms Adina Vălean, and commissioner for cohesion and reforms, Ms Elisa Ferreira, and was signed by the heads of the Community of European Railway and Infrastructure Companies (CER), European Rail Freight Association (ERFA), the International Union of Wagon Keepers (UIP), the International Union for Road-Rail Combined Transport (UIRR), and the Alliance of Passenger Rail New Entrants in Europe (AllRail).
